In a dramatic Hampshire Premier League Cup clash, Whitehill & Bordon FC staged an incredible comeback against Upham FC to win the tie 4-3 on penalties after an intense 4-4 draw in normal time. The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, proving once again that football is never over until the final whistle.

Upham FC dominated the early stages, racing to a 4-0 lead with goals in the 15th, 16th, 19th, and 31st minutes. It was a tough first half for our lads, who found themselves facing a significant deficit at halftime.

However, the second half saw a fierce resurgence from Whitehill & Bordon. Toby Fuller kickstarted the comeback with a well-deserved goal in the 50th minute, capitalising on some intense pressing.

Dean Worman followed up with a wonderful strike in the 65th minute, and Ciaran Judd slotted home in the 68th minute to put us back within touching distance. The momentum was firmly with us, and just four minutes later, it was Ciaran Judd once again who brought the game level with a crucial equaliser in the 72nd minute.

With the score locked at 4-4, the match proceeded to a penalty shootout. The tension was palpable as Dean Worman confidently slotted away the first penalty. Upham missed their first, which set the tone. Shayne Warren scored our second, while Ali Gill's miss was equalized by Upham's success. Lee Coyne and Steven Black secured our final penalties, with Black's crucial kick sealing the win as Upham failed to convert their last attempt.
