Match Report: Liphook Utd 0-2 Whitehill & Bordon FC

🏆 Hampshire Premier League Cup – Quarter-Final

Whitehill & Bordon FC continued their impressive cup run with a solid 0-2 victory over local rivals Liphook United in the Hampshire Premier League Cup Quarter-Final. A first-half penalty and a second-half goal from a corner, both scored by Oli Graham, secured the win and a place in the Semi-Finals.

First Half

The breakthrough came midway through the first half when the Stags were awarded a penalty. Oli Graham stepped up and confidently slotted the ball past the keeper to make it 0-1. The hosts tried to respond, but the defence held firm, and Whitehill & Bordon took their lead into halftime.

Second Half

Liphook came out with more urgency after the break, but the Stags stayed organised and continued to create chances on the counter. The game was put to bed when Oli Graham struck again, this time from a well-delivered corner, his second goal and make it 0-2.

From that point on, Whitehill & Bordon managed the game well, controlling possession and limiting Liphook’s chances. The backline stood strong, and another solid defensive display ensured the clean sheet and progression to the Semi-Finals.

Manager’s Comments:

“A fantastic result and a brilliant effort from the lads. It was a proper cup battle, and we showed great discipline, took our chances, and kept another clean sheet. Another cup Semi-Final awaits, and we’ll be ready for it!”

Thank you to all the supporters who made the short trip to back the team.
